i have know some one that has a 4 door gsr white its a 2000 i think and it was stolen they took the motor trans leather seats and hood he bought the shell back for 400 bucks he wants to sell the shell i want a 4 door white one also but i hear when i car gets stolen and striped after you buy it and put it back together you have to chp inspect it and all that stuff my question is how thorough are they like what do they look for obviosly i dont have a gsr motor siting around i can drop in but i have a b20vtec in my ef i wanna get rid of the shell how hard is it to do the chp inspection an all ? the b20vtec is a jdm b20 it has no vins well not that i know of i have paper work for it not the head tho i bought it from craigslist

I decided to take the oppurtunity to buy the dyno and fabrication equipment from Modacar and start my own shop in Manteca, CA. I haven't fully decided on a name for the shop as of yet, but I will post the business name and contact information as soon I can. Within the next week I should have the dyno moved in and I'm hoping to have the dyno operational in the next few weeks. The shop will offer dyno tuning(2wd) fabrication service and installation services. We live in Lake Elsinore California (socal) and we were thinking of going up to Yosemite and staying up ther for a few nights and hit up some of those brutal roads... an take some bad ass picks of our rides up ther... after that we were thinking of heading up to the bay area like San Fransisco... staying ther for a few nights and then heading down PCH and hit up all those citys... on our way back down...
The main reason why im writing this is to get some feed back.... and to see if we can get any post from people in those areas so they can let us know of good places to stay or bad ass roads to drive on... places to eat... and even good places to take photos of our cars... so help me out pleace your comments would be appreciated thanks -JUAN-

Head gasket is blown and engine is toast, need a shop that will do an engine swap for cheap. I just sourced a stock 1998 d16y7 so it will be a simple direct swap.

I know that b-series swaps are super duper cheap nowadays, I'm sure this straight swap will be a tad bit cheaper since it's so easy to do. Anyone know if a place in the San Jose area? Also willing to drive out to the east bay like Hayward, Oakland to get this done.
