Hey Boys and Girls,

I've come across the opportunity to get the Wilton 7015 Horizontal Band Saw for $1000 buckaroos. The machine is brand new and hasn't been assembled. I'm hesitant to buy this machine being that I don't know anything about bandsaws. I don't want to pass it up and kick myself in the ass later on. The machine sells on average for 3000. Its 551 pounds and single phase 115/230 and it will be used in my garage. Does anyone have any experience with Wilton Saws? Thanks again.. Nick

I'm looking to have a custom header built for my B-series drag CRX setup. I was considering either a SMSP or HyTech design. After looking at this video on how stainlessheaders.com can build a header to my exact specifications, I quickly gained interest.

Has anyone ever had a header built by this company? They do seem legitimate, based on the video I just watched below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYCck4pTn6g
All inputs greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Dual stage intake manifold...butterflies, rotary valves, etc.

I'm in the concept stages of a custom intake manifold for another application. It's an application that would HIGHLY lend itself to benefiting from a dual stage manifold. Trying to bounce around ideas, the difficulty lies with the butterflies, rotary valves or whatever type of unit is involved.

Searching around it's pretty typical to have the GSR style butterflies, which lead to turbulent conditions and fuel atomization problems and the K20 rotary style valves. The GSR setup is clearly easier to fab and create, but the rotary valves are not, yet the flow characteristics of those are clearly superior.

With rotary valves and units with sliding style plates I see the opportunity for sealing issues when created in a custom manner. The butterfly approach is simpler and will likely be employed in my initial build.

Anyone have any information or anything to offer? Are there any sources for individual sealed rotary valves that could possibly be used? Anyone ever come across a custom built dual stage intake mani?

This is kind of a 6 month or so project. I've finally met my end in the Honda world for a while. I'm burned out beyond belief and just simply need to build something else. I know what that something else is, I just need to sell my current Honda, which isn't exactly easy in this economy...noone is buying anything it seems.

Has anyone ever welded on the body panels of their car to close up some holes? Such as spoiler holes?

Has anyone ever welded on the body panels of their car to close up some holes? Such as spoiler holes?

I'm wondering how hard it is to do without warping the panel and making it look like complete shit. I know the welds will need to be ground down and filler will need to be used afterwards, I'm just unsure of the warping aspect. Also what filler rod? er70s2 okay?

I will TIG it if it can be done, so I can weld it at a lower amperage than MIG.

BTW it's on my 09 si sedan, most are small 8mm diameter holes, and one is a rather large hole for the brake light wiring. Any tips on doing the brake light hole?

Or is this a bad idea all together, and should i just save up and buy a new trunk from honda? (i'm kinda broke right now, but want to put my damn type R spoiler on!!)
