I got the stock ITR exhaust cause i wanted a nice quite ride, im not planning on changing it.

with these minimal mods, would it really make a difference if i got a tune?

I do not the have ecu chipped, no tuning program as well, so i would take that cost into consideration as well.

At this point, im thinking its not worth it to spend the money on a tune.

Im thinking about getting some cams since the head has ITR valvetrain. Any recomendations for a daily driver? Looking to get some nice midrange gain. (I would obviously need to get a tune when i add cams)

Thanks guys.

Ok, I wanted to know, how can I calculate effective CR a.k.a. dynamic CR, so I could get straight with my build, cause as I understand I need to select cam for CR, and Iam using zealautowerks calculator and there is a window Elevation - if I enter something there, then only changes effective CR, so, the question is, what I need to enter there, or, is there some other way to calculate effective CR? I am building D16Z6 N/A, and I need some help with these calculations, so please, help :) Thanks.

P.S. window - Elevation "Enter operating elevation of engine to determine effective compression ratio."

Dear HT members first off forgive me for my english and secondly yes I did search the answer to question and found no solids answers so seek help from you guys please!

I have a ek4 vti with a b16a2 I want to upgrade a little(specially after seeing all the builds here) so I got lucky enough to find a b16b longblock thats been hydrolocked for around 800 U.S.

I had the bottom end & head checked out today and its very clear that it is only 1 rod/piston that got messed up with no show of damage neither on the crank nor head, atleast thats what the mech said!

what I would like to know is if I can use the LS crank, rod combo in this shortblock?

I might aswell change for better while working on the bottom end and for me better is more power so I would rather pick the ls crank, rods and 82mm pistons in order to get a 1.9lt

I know I cant use this combo with my stock b16 block but the b16b has a taller deck height so I should be alright right?(I think the b16b is 0.5mm taller then the ls/b20 block)

what else do you guys advise me to change? should I get better rods, pistons or will stock rods + RS machines with the help of arp rod bolts be enough?

has anyone done this with either a gsr,itr,b16b block? I choose not to use the full b20z/ls block because there arent many honda mechs to do the lsvtec stuff here and with the b16b there is no need for the head work, lsvtec kit and the oil passage is a better hence its the method honda choose to use.

Ok so I have a skunk2 pro manifold for my gsr that i am thinking about keeping if i cant get a performer x. any modifications that you guys would recommend? maybe smooth out the runners with sand paper or get the runners ported? i dont need to port match since the head is stock. i was thinking about port matching it to my jdm itr tb. but i read about an anti-reversion step where you bore the manifold 4mm over the tb bore and its suppose to increase hp. any truth to that? any suggestions will be appreciated.

I've tried calling rs machine and no one answered and from the searching i've done it sounds like they have bad customer service anyway. I just want to be able to buy them and know i'm getting the correct product and it wont take 3 months to get to me.

Also, are they the same as Race Axis pistons? only found one site that said they use the same mfg.
Any help is appreciated

Here it is, bought it from a friend ( yes i know it has a cam seal oil leak).

Here is the question:

With this setup approx. how much wheel hp should it make, EG hatch, obd1:

Stock b16a1 head

-b16a1 cams
-stock b16a1 Intake manifold

Stock 1996 b20b (lo compression version)
-rebuilt to stock b20b specs

Boltons:

-stock b16a ex manifold
-Fuel pressure regulator.
- Apexi ws2 catback.

My hp guess is 150whp and 130tq.

Anyone see similar setups? how much did they make?

I am in the process of building a time attack car, but I cant make too much HP for class reasons.
