Ok so long story short i have a 1995 gsr swap which i am turboing. engine is bone stock except for a lightweight flywheel and an itr throttle body.

my goal is 400 WHP. So far i have a Tial 50mm BOV and a Tial 38mm wastegate. i already have an intercooler and all the piping, and ill be tuned on S300 once it all goes together.... i have 2 questions....

I pretty much decided on using a GT30R with a .63 exhaust housing based on all my research. Is this a good choice for my goals or is it overkill? or should i be looking at something even bigger? or perhaps a different type of turbo all together??

Second question is injector sizing. are 750cc injectors going to be ok or should i bump up to 1000cc injectors? any disadvantage to running injectors that are larger than i need?

I have been looking into putting together my own kit for my 00" b18c1 Hatch... While looking at just piecing a kit together, it looks like I could atleast save a "little" cash on little stuff like fittings, intercooler, etc..by possibly just buying a kit like this..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA...Q5fAccessories

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with buying a complete kit like the one above...also, what kind of experience you've had with the kit, and also what would be the best portions of that kit or a kit like that to upgrade right away or atleast at first... For the time being I am only shooting for something around 250-300whp max

I appreciate any and all comments you guys can give!

Hey im planning on running the injector dynamics 750cc on my B18c1 with a peakboost setup. Has anyone used these. Ive read good things about the 1000cc from Injector Dynamics but havent heard much about the 750cc. Will they drop right in the intake manifold or is there modification needed to the stock cushions for the injectors. Anyone that has used these or has any info on them would be great as i have searched and come up with nothing. Thanks

First off i would love to thank T1 and his employees for taking the time to help me getting my car going. I wasnt able to make it to dallas to have the car tuned b/c i had legal issues to deal with so my grandparents offered to bring the car for me. (my grandparents are the best) Being very old they are not capable of loading and unloading the car and the people at T1 helped them do this and were also ver friendly to my grandparents.. They took the time and told them what was going on as well as just shooting the shit with them and that is a big plus in my book.... Thanks for the hospitality my grandma and grandpa are actually looking forward to coming back in Dec. for the retune....

Long story short the car had some creep issues on pump gas and from what i understand tony had to pull power from the car to make it safe at the boost levels.... car made 395 spiking 20lbs and 467 @26 psi Tony told me i had a few things that is most likely killing my power... Which are possibly the cheaper type of adjustable cam gears being off when at 0 and 0. And also which is a big deal my dumptube stops at top of oil pan and is slash cut facing the turbo :facepalm! he told me it is most likely sucking in all the already burnt air that has no oxygen therfore its killing the power... he was tellin me recently that a car had similar issue and gained 100whp by fixing this.... I will be addressing these problems and going back in dec... for a retune until then i will have fun with what i got and i will keep this thread updated on kills and deaths and track times if i can make it to track... Thanks T1
Set up was a built lsvtec running a 60-1 with .82ar

***i'm not sure where to post this... under civics? integra? FI?....

But I'm trying to help diagnose my buddy's gsr turbo. It's an OBDI engine.

His idle is at 3000rpm! No fluxing. It's a constant 3000 even when warm in neutral.

From looking at it last night, his FITV has no line running to it. He has an aftermarket IM if that makes any difference.

Could not having a line on the FITV cause his condition? If so, where do I connect it to? I read that it needs a coolant line from the head?

Does anybody have a picture of the back of a b18c engine/intake manifold? He has some loose vacuum lines but they trace back to emissions stuff (which is not used). it seems like it's impossible trying to find a simple vacuum diagram. any help is appreciated.

Not much of a honda guy but it's good to learn new stuff and try to help people out.

I just dont get some people when they build their 1.6 or 1.8 they put a big turbo that doesnt spool till 5500 and with shitty gearing it takes them forever to get there. Why? Its just dumb to have the turbo spool so high IMO with long gearing and a final gear that puts you out of boost when you shift lol. I've seen so many Honda owners do this I really dont get it.

Setup is below, on the way to work this morning, i gave it some gas and the motor was slightly accelerating but bogging down during the acceleration. Sounds like babababababa. I have done nothing to it lately and its been reliable for the last 2 yrs now.
Preliminary diagnostic, No gas leak, problem isnt noticable until gas applied, vacuum is fine 20 at idle, air/fuel ratio reading tad high, engine temps fine.
Unfortunetly im stuck at work for the next 10 hours.;( If your car is sick does that count for sick leave?? lol.

Hey guys im in the process of installing my turbo right now but got a few questions i really need help with... Okay for the stock map sensor if im only boosting 8-10psi, do i need to get a missing link or upgrade to a 2.5 bar? or will my stock map sensor work fine without any modification? Right now every thing is stock except for some dsm 450's, walbro intank and arp headstuds. I already got my p28 chipped with a basemap for stock map sensor and my 450's. Last question is where is the check valve for the brake booster? Im trying to figure out where to hook up my vacuum distribution block but i cant find the check valve so i can tee it between that and the manifold. The motor is a d16y8...i know you can see it on the d16z6 clearly, but on the y8 its just a line with nothing in between.. There is another line above that one which is smaller and greyish in color that connects to the cruise control which does have a valve that resembles the check valve, but looks way too small to be a good vac source...Any help Pros???????
