Default p06 Ecu Boosted Accord

Hi all, I have a 1997 Honda Accord Coupe 2.2 sohc NON vtec engine code
f22b5. it has been turbo'd and now its time to get it tuned, I have a p06 ecu, is it possible to chip this ecu so I can get it mapped on Neptune. Also as far as I am aware the only difference between the p06 and p28 is vtec??? But apparently you can convert the p06 ecu to run vtec?? How do I know if the previous owner of the ecu has carried this conversion out??? And if they have will it matter as mine is NON vtec??? Any help would be great, cheers all.

yes it can converted to vtec. it is simply missing the parts to operate solinoid as well as the information to use it. (thus why you chip the ecu to use different tunes to operate it)

with hondata s300 you can simply have just s300 installed without any vtec components and run vtec operation through a relay. i run this setup currently and works just the same
with other tunning software you would need the vtec installed to operate it

if vtec is installed than mostlikely is socketed(chipped) also as ther is no use in only adding vtec. post a picture of the ecu board inside.

search po6 to p28 conversion and you will find pictures on what it looks like with and without vtec and socketed for a chip. than compare those parts are soldered in place on yours.

Ok will take a look. But would it matter if it has been converted to vtec as mine is non vtec. Cheers

It does not make any difference if its converted to Vtec you will be starting with a non vtec base map and non vtec base ecu code the ECU does not know that there is vtec components fitted to it,do you already have a demon and a Neptune licence?
