Hey guys, I'm extremely new to these forums and need some help with my 2000 Base Model Prelude, motor swapped to a JDM H22A.

Before this I dealt with D-Series until I wanted to move to the big boy motors. So I'm new to H-Series.

My motor cranks and wants to turn over, belts spinning, starter bumping, but no grab. I was informed by a good source that it is my CKP, I'm wondering where on the Motor it is located. I was researching and found a few forums that said the H22A1's and JDM H22A's had them right in the Distributor.

Any word on this subject would be helpful!

Yes the earlier H22 from Japan used the distributor based CKP. Your 2000 OBD2 based chassis would have the wiring for the crank based CKP sensor.

You may need to look at converting your engine to OBD2 or your engine wiring to OBD1 for that sensor.

Confirming where your CKP is right now is the first step.

What ,if anything, did you change to get the engine swap into the chassis?

I forgot to mention that I just picked this car up last week.

I went to my parts source yesterday and ordered in a H22A1 Distributor for the car. These are the TD60 Model's that came with a 7-pin plug and a 2-pin plug. I'm awaiting arrival. I'll let you guys know the news!
