I need some help with the Hondata s300 overheating protection parameter. When I run with the protection at 210-220 degree the engine don't rev over 4,000rpm, but change the parameter to 40 degree (check engine ON) the engine rev normal to the limiter 9,200rpm. This test was with the car on neutral. Thanks

By default the over heat protection throws a code and has a default revlimit of 12500 in the stock calibrations.

You need to set the over heat protection rev limit to an appropriate rpm.

It also sounds like you may have a launch control configured & don't know about it.
Look under the launch control tab to see if this is the case.

hondata s300 has really cool protection features.

Funny because I have mine set at 210 overheat protection and I can change my rev limiter without a problem

Thanks. I will try the reduce the rpm on the parameter. The funny thing is that a 40 the engine rev nice, change to 210+ don't pass 4,000rpm. Launch control is disable. Maybe the coolant sensor has some problem.

What does your datalogs read? That would tell you right away what is going on... that is the whole point of an EMS to begin with after all - to be able to see and modify as needed.

The inyectors are the RDX with the correct dead time. In the overheat protection at normal 212F don't past 4,000rpm at 80 degree or less rev normal. The problem start with the v1 s300, I change to v3 last week the car work great, today same problem again.

Old thread. But that Speed Sensor was way fishy considering both Launch Control and Vtec use that Sensor..
If you have a Speed Sensor issue than your going to have to modify the Calibration beyond normal...
