Default B18a1 fully built low compression turbo extended crank/intermittent no start HELP!

Posted this in the tech area but im a noob here at HT and wasnt sure if that was a good spot
SORRY MODS

I have a 93 eg fully built b18a1 ls with pistons, rods and cams and all that. It has a 3bar omni map sensor and 750cc rc injectors. Running or ATTEMPTING to run on an s300v3 with a basemap when the cars running wideband readings are around 12 to 15 sometimes it varies a little more but the car never immediately starts, almost as if it has to get warm and then starts. Will crank for a while and attempt to start. Then usually after that point it can be started easier. Any other information needed i will gladly share im kinda stumped at this point.

This is the right area, but since this is the tuning section make sure to say what tuning system you're using in the title of your thread. And just as a general recap, please make sure you search thoroughly for answers before making a new thread.

It sounds like either the injector offset, cranking trim, ECT fuel scales, and/or the map sensor is not properly calibrated. Read the manual in my signature for help figuring those out (it's not for Hondata but the concepts are the same).

In particular, the default settings for the omni map sensors aren't very accurate (especially if it's a fake omni ebay sensor), and you'll probably end up having to program custom values for it based on the voltages you get at atmosphere and full vacuum. Pretty sure that's in my manual also.

You need to thoroughly read the Smanager's helpfile if you are attempting to tune yourself. Go to the Fuel Trim Parameters section and read about cranking fuel.

these are all problems which can typically be fixed by getting the software calibrated to your setup by a competent tuner.

like these guys said, if you are tuning yourself read the help folder in its entirety. it will give you a better understanding of what everything does. Another good read is the AEM manual. It goes pretty in depth in basic EFI requirements and setup along with describing what certain paramenters do. These parameters will do the same thing in s300 but the function may be a little different from AEM.

Most tuners will make their own basemaps since they know what all has been changed and adjusted. This helps with start ups and allows for simple adjustments to calibrate from one engine to another.

Sorry for the lack of information, the car has a map on it from phearable.net. They have good reviews on base maps for the most part, thats why i went with them. It is an s300v3 and i have an omni 3bar map sensor. I am not trying to tune the car myself however i have been reading the help contents and double checking different things. I HAVE NOT CHANGED THE ORIGINAL MAP CONSTRUCTED FOR ME BY THE TUNER AND I HAVE TALKED TO HIM AND HES SENT ME ANOTHER MAP THAT MADE NO DIFFERENCE.

it's still a basemap, you have to tune it. you can have a huge variation from one engine to the next even if they're built the same. the biggest problem is the map sensor, I guarantee it needs to be custom calibrated. nothing short of an experienced tuner will make it run any better than it already is.
