2000 civic si B16A2 tuning question?
Hi guys no hate please i tried to do research on it but could not find anything.. I was told that if you have header/ exhaust and intake your car needs to be tuned..i understand tuning wouldnt probaby make much of a difference but i was curious if i could tune myself? Im going to buy a p28 ecu and do and obd1 conversion ... ... So im going to go obd1 and download chrome... Can i tune my ecu with the exhaust and intake myself through chrome? Is there a certain chip i need to buy?

Anytime you change the way your motor flows, yes, a retune could help.
These days, when tuning, we use chip emulators. You can finalize it to a chip once you're finished; or at least that's how most would go about it.
Crome free is great, yes you can tune it with that.
Try moates.net for hardware needs. Or xenocron. But I prefer moates.
There's a PDF out there, "An intermediate guide to operation of the latest CROME" that would give you a great walkthrough. In my eyes, it caters to beginners too. Google that one.
That should get you started. Let us know.
