D16y7 cracked piston
Long story short, I bought a civic with a d16y7 and a greddy td04 turbo in limp mode thinking it would be a simple fix. took it into speedfactory racing and they said my resistor box was bad. However, this caused an injector to not work and now I have low compression in cylinder 1 (which they said is because of a cracked piston)
I want to know the best route to take from here, would I be fine just buying new pistons? Simply buying new pistons seems to be the cheapest solution and I could probably do it myself (with help because I haven't done any major engine work like that before). I don't want to have to spend too much money, but I don't want to cut any corners either. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Buy a new running condition d16y7 short block and install it, a completel long block if you can afford it. Both easily had in under a weeks worth of ad hunting for $500 or less.
Dont waste your months opening up your first engine for a d16y7 that you just want to have a little cheap fun with
