Default Who runs a 245/45/16 street tire?

It equates to 24.5 x 9.5 x 16

The reason why i want to run a 24.5 is because that'll be the slick size i'm using so i won't have to alter height in order to switch out wheels. Idealy, i'd like a 235 but R888's only offer that in a 15" tire.

This is an attempt to put down as much power as i can on the street with BBG. I did really well with 225/50/16's which are a 25" tire. So this will be a shorter and wider tire.

Any pics, or is it just to enormous to run?.. i mean, we do run slicks around the same size....

Theres still no sidewall and its a street tire so you wont be putting any power down
best is to switch to 15" and get a 225/50 et street or something, thats 24"

I can run a 225 on a 16" wheel.. no purpose to switch to a 15" wheel..

Gabe ran a 225/50/16 for a while, then switched to a 255/50/16 with a 3 piece front but that's a 26" tall tire.

D-rob also ran a 225/45/16 toyo R888 on his EK chassis.

I'm trying to put down as much power as possible, i got ~560 to the ground in 3rd gear with BBG and my 225/50/16 star specs, if Toyo made a 235 in a 16" wheel that'd be perfect, but the next step up is a 245 wide. I'm not looking to do a 3 piece from end just yet.. I actually don't even care how far the tires stick out or if i'll have to run some spacers.

Potenza RE-11 are on of the only street tires that come in a 245-45-16. I'm going to try to run these on a 16 x 9 tire not sure which offset yet though its going to poke out but i'll just pull the crap out of my fenders.

Anyone know who makes a reasonably priced 16x 9 rim? Everyone has 16 x 8 but no 16 x 9.

Thanks

if you don't care how it looks run the 255 r888, use the most tire you can. gabe said they hook good for low rolls.

I wonder what the turning radius is? plus my wheel is a 16x7, the reason why i don't want to ditch them is because they are te37's.. dealing with selling them and finding another set in 15's would take too much of a hassle.

with a 16x7 wheel and a 245 or 255 will the narrow-rim limit how much rubber i'll actually have on the ground? i see an issue with road racing, but what about straight line?

i wonder what the turning radius is like and how much it's limited with a tire that wide
