Haltech's ground strategy is a bit different than most. Splice into a wire at either B15 or B16 with your ground and drain. If this is an Elite - and you are making your own loom:
B14 - Battery Ground
B15/B16 - Sensor Ground
The Elite is internally common between the three pins above. There are technically three different grounds at the ECU - chassis, battery, and signal ground.

Re: using rear ABS with AEM.
does it matter if I use a timing ground supplied by the aem for the ground, or can I use any ground on chassis for one end of the abs sensor?

Re: using rear ABS with AEM.
I ended up going to the other wheel it was the ABS ring that was bad on mine . Then just one ground to chassis other to VSS pin on ecu if on aem. Also keep in mind it is a generator so just slowly spinning wheel mine wont read it has to be spinning above 10mph for a good signal.
I have 4 oem ABS sensors on a dodge neon srt-4.
I'd like the Aem v1 to read the rear abs for boost by VSS.
A buddy w/ an AEM v1 on his SRT said to disconnect the front ABS sensors and the AEM will read mph off the rear wheels.
So I disconnected the fronts, jacked the rear end up, and spun the rear tires and my AEMLog showed MPH at 0, no change, so that didnt work for me, as it shouldn't since the AEM reads VSS from the trans.
Do I need to wire the ABS signal wire directly into the VSS pinout? There is also a 'Spare Speed' input on my harness (C1-8 in the attachment). Would I go about wiring into that input?
If I wire the signal wire from an ABS sensor in the rear to an input, when you log, it should show a a reading for every pulse it picks up from t the ABS/ring. So if I do one full revolution with the tire to get the equivalent of pulses for one revolution that is picked up at the sensor, can I somehow translate that to a reading against RPM to turn into an MPH value?

Re: using rear ABS with AEM.
Ended up purchasing the Xenocron wheel speed sensor, and will be mounting it to read off my 5x100 wheel studs.
Does anyone know the settings I'd need to enter into AEM V1 to have it work correctly, aside from VSS Calibration?
Would you happen to have the settings for the AEM V1 VSS option to make this work, minus the VSS Calibration value since that will be dependent on each car? Like
Speed Falling Edge
Speed Rising Edge - (check this one instead of Falling Edge, based on RType16's post in this thread?)
Speed H Sens Below __ rpm
Speed L Sens Above __ rpm
