what can i change to stay 1-3 for the whole pass? sorry not to big on trannys and gear and what not.

Longer final drive or more power or shorter gearing all together so you get through to the top of 4th gear

Tire size plays a large role. Some more info is needed.

24.5/9/13 slick

im shifting so close to the end it seems like its "slowing me down" by shifting then passing through the traps

i have 2 tunes on the car a pump gas and c16 tune i havent ran it on the c16 tune yet to see how it goes

1/8 mile? stock gsr on 24.5 you should ride all of 4th out unless you have a FD under a 4.0. I would think you have a ls gear stack with a 4.0 FD but even then you should bang 4th sooner than that. I don't know much about trans but you don't want to use 1-3 for the 1/4 mile because around 1000ft mark is chute popping area and you're still banging gears

You don't want a 3 spd setup. You should cross the line at the top of 4th. Run the B16 3/4. 4.26 FD if needed.

doesnt sound like a gsr trans to me. my setup on a gsr trans and 24" tire puts me shifting into 3rd around 112 mph and thats revving to 9500. at 400 whp you should be trapping in the 120's so i wouldnt think you would be shifting to 3rd that close to the end of the track if you are only around 110 mph

previous owner told me it was a GSR....

my best pass to date is 121mph.....
obviously without taking it out i would have no way to know for sure what the stack is,

cruise around and do a log of cruising rpm in each gear. with that you can compare the vss reading and engine rpm to accurately determine your gear ratios.
