Now for a car like the Celica I completly understand the need for a Venturi effect under the car to keep it stable at high speeds. It creates a low pressure area under the car making it "suck" to the ground. This will also cause drag but not enough that it cant be overcome by hp. On a civic (or any car with a factory rear parachute,er, bumper) especially ones with less than 500 hp, just eliminating as much drag as possible to help the car glide along is what you are after. I dont think that building a rear difuser on my 13 sec civic is going to help it. But eliminating the drag that the back bumper causes with a rear belly pan would. Or just cutting holes in the bish to releive the pressure.

you know were the muffler is on the civic? well on the oppiste side of the car aka (driver side) thats were that peace sits. and last time i check no dealership had them

ohh ok i think i get it now. its a cool and simple idea. use the "inverted" hump for the spare tire as part of the flat part under the rear of the car, the mufler makes up the second part next to it that is flat also under the rear of the car, and this plastic piece covers up the hole on the other side... right? ehh i'm sure its something like that. its a cool idea.

Im sure something else could be very effective, but for me i can't add a rear diffuser so the stock one should be better then nothing
