Default 92 civic cx b20vtec hatchback

today i rode in a daily driver 11 sec full interior full chassis eg hatchback cx. b20vtec stock bottom end. fully built except for the stock block. stock pistons. all head work and cams fuel tuning and hondata. all i gotta say is damn that sucker rips sooo hard.!!! running open header on the street taching out 3rd gear. we were three deep and the car still felt like a freight train. what a rush. the owner says it runs 11.7 at 121 mph slicks of course. dynoed at 245 whp and 170 lbs of torque. hard to believe with stock b20 bottom end but car was indeed pretty darn fast.

This is just like this B.S story this guy said to me yesterday. I asked him what he's running and he told me a type R. So I said show me. Then he's looks at his clock and says he has to get going so I said ok see you later. Then again he says to me that it's not a Type R but runs like one and it's turbo charged!!! O really. He feels at this point that I don't know sh*t about cars. He now says it's turbocharged and run's 11's with 250hp. WTF And remember I'm looking at the car right in front of me and see no Intercooler, Altezza's and 18 chrome wheels filling the fenders up.

Oh may god bless him!
P.S It's a EK with a cold air intake cause I heard it when he was leaving.

What kind of a shot was he running in that car?
I dont believe the trap speed of 121 in an all motor hatch.

well thats the thing. everyone thought that he was squeezing. but when i looked under the hood there were no lines leading to the manifold..intake.... or no nos bottle. i think that the bottom end must be fitted with higher comp pistons. cuz his numbers are a bit high for a stock bottom end with only fully ported head, skunk 2 stage 3 cams, also he hit a 1.6 sixty foot time at the track on slicks of course. and is it true that the jdm type-r header is the best all motor header? i thought sms was ? oh well.

I see and hear this ALL THE TIME. Especially in my business.

"i just rode in a 11 second car, the owner said it has xx, and etc, etc"

And I tell them this:

"so, the fastest car you ever drove in before you rode in that ran like 14.0 right"??

They say:

"right"

Somebody that rides in 2000 Si sleds all day, will think a car that runs 13.5 is rediculous freightrain fast.

11.7@121? Maybe with 12 PSI. More like 11.7@114.

And the most I have ever heard of on a 100% stock block was like 204 WHP. And the head was milled 60k+! With a full head package and Jun 3's.

Gutted out hatches that run 13's feel REALLY fast on the street, expecially when the tires chirp shifting into 3rd gear.

its so funny, what this thread is about. I see and hear this all the time!

Only a few crews can claim 11 seconds, and a few of them posted in this thread.
