Just wanted to get some ideas, pros and cons of mounting your 3pcs front end with either DZUS or Quik-latch fasteners and how you did it.

I like the fact that the quik-latch gives you a cleaner look and the ease of removing parts with just the press of a button. A buddy of mines prefer to us DZUS fasteners cause he says its more sturdier and less flimsy than the quik-latch.

What are your thoughts and experiences? How did you mount your front end? Pictures would be perfect as well. I purchased a franks front end for my dc2 and wanted to get some insight on how to mount it efficiently and effectively.

seen some of those on google when i searched for some answers...still doesnt answer my question as these pictures you show are OEM bumpers and metal fenders which is kind of different than mounting a fiberglass front.

I know some guys weld plates on their weight bars or make custom fender brackets/braces for these fasteners. That is what I really would like to see. How to mount and how to brace it for high MPH on the drag strip...

I have the franks front on my DC2 as well. I used all quik-latch product. Came out good

I have Quik latch on my car. I'll never use them again. They work nice for a little bit but if you race your car a lot or drive it a lot they will fall apart and not stay latched. I have replaced a few so far. They cant take any abuse like a Dzus..

My parts are aligned perfectly and are not under any stress to make them latch but at 170+MPH it is under extreme forces...

that was exactly what my friend said...he got the franks front end too and decided to use the dzus fasteners instead...this is what i am afraid of. thanks for sharing your experience.

Anyone else have any experience?

There are 3 size latches. These are the middle size. The buckets are quik-latch as well and only come in 1 size.

I've broken a couple dzus tabs before. Just going to quick and the spring may have needed adjustment. I find them a pain to install, whereas the quik-latch was really easy. Haven't had a problem yet, but I don't beat on my car much these days.

yea i think they are the 1 inch ones that you are using. Have you tested this down the track yet?
