Rickbeastwood's H2B SFWD Journey (Warning lots of pics)
Sup guys thought I would share my build with the honda community. this is my first build thread. I’ve had this motor set up for some time and was planning on running it in my 00 SI. An opportunity came up to buy a shell from a buddy that was parting out his car. It was pretty hooked up with a lot of upgrades I was planning on doing anyways so I had to jump on it. Here is a quick run-down:
-Motor:
H22A4, AEBS o-ringed block, Ross pistons, Pauter rods, AEBS main & head studs, Head were ported by my buddy (Port Authority), Ferrea valve train, ks tuned h22 tensioner, crower turbo cams (locked v-tech)
Intake:
AEBS custom intake manifold, Wilson 105mm TB, 4” ICP w/ vanjen clamps, bell intercooler core with custom JSP end tanks.
-Trans:
B16 w Evolution H2b adapter (only used plate) G-force Dogbox transmission and shifter, Wavetrac diff, Avid solid mounts, Tilton twin disc clutch, Tilton hydro clutch kit
Fuel:
Weldon external fuel pump, -10 feed -18 return fuel lines, fuel lab FPR, ID2000 injectors, AEBS fuel rail, fuel cell in custom GO-PWR motorsports contained compartment.
Suspension/Brakes:
DSS pro level hubs, axles and mid shaft, skunk2 pro C 12-way adjustable suspension, K-tuned traction bars, skunk2 lower control arms, asr sub frame brace, front and back skunk2 camber kit, wildwood drag lite brake calibers and slotted rotors, wildwood brake booster delete, SS braided lines, staging brake.
-Electronics:
AEM V2 ecu, AEM EMP & coils, dis 4 plug ignitions, race pack IQ3 w/ data log, custom Richie-works milspec harness, PLX wideband.
-Turbo:
Custom JSP front mount turbo manifold with 4” down pipe, GT4292BB turbo, HKS 60mm waste gate & blow-off.
-Chassis/interior/exterior/wheels:
1992 honda civic dx
Custom 8.50et and slower chromoly roll cage done by GO-PWR Motorsports, Spinwerk wheels powered coated gloss black, MT 24.5x9 slicks, 22x3.5 (upgrading to 24.5rear) skinny, skunk2 extended lug nuts, jerrybuilt 3pc front end, kirkey seats w/ g-force 5point harness with a chute.
Car was tuned at 40psi on c16 and had a boost leak (intake manifold) and clutch disk rivets broke off so he had to quit tuning. I fixed those issues and went out to the track. The first time out with the car and I only did 3 passes, the second pass was its best, boosting off the waste gate spring it went 6.8x @108mph with a 1.68 60ft. I had issues making boost out the hole and on anti-lag and also couldn’t data-log so I called it a night. Hopefully I can get the car figured it out and dialed in.
Here are the pics of the journey. picked up the shell from my buddies house.
welding mount braces
the car was k series and had a karcept shifter relocate kit so i had to weld in a plate for my shifter.
carpet installed
intake/fuel setup
wilson 105mm TB/ID200 injectors
G-force dog box
getting ready to drop in the motor
locking up v-TAKKK
new JSP manifold
JB 3-pc front end added
intercooler fab
chute added
wiring
more goodies
and finally on our way to the dyno (tuned by daniel @ church)
first time out with the set up for some shake down passes
I'm planning on getting the KS-tune rear trailing arm and staging brakes to improve my 60ft and a drag wing along with other upgrades and changes. Planning to take it back out for test by the end of the month.
I will try to update the thread as often as i can with progress of the build.
Thanks for looking!

I add weight but I haven't put it on the scales yet, I'm going to corner balanced it really soon.
Thanks a lot bro.

Awesome build! That intake is crazy!
Wait a second.... Dss Pro axles and you didn't have to shave the block?
What kind of trickery is this? or did I misread?
lol my block looks like it had liposuction

Build looks sick. Subscribed for more.
Is the bracket on the Ktuned traction bar the Radiator mounts? If so how do you like them?

Thanks you guys!!
I'm only using 1 of those radiator mounts because the other end of the radiator is on the intercooler plate. I really like them thoe.
Wait, there is no trickery here, I had to cut allot out on the block, I even had to cut and weld a small section of the oil pump. I also had to make a custom midshaft plate because this is a SH block. The SH block's oil filter is in a wierd location, it hit my intake manifold so I had to relocate it. The list goes on....LOL
I will post pictures of how I did this later.
I was around 40lbs when we noticed a boost leak and the Clutch disk broke.
We never finish tuning it. For know it want to dial in the car.
I want to go back and try out the FTW orange and post the numbers.
