Redline Water Wetter
I just picked up a couple of 500mL bottles in preparation for the new season. How much of this stuff should I put in with the distilled, de-ionized water? I can read the bottle but I want to know if a little more is better/worse for my setup... I fried my water pump last season from running JUST water, and supposedly the Water Wetter cures the problem... can anyone verify this for me?

You should use one bottle of the water wetter, but you should also use some coolant along with the water wetter. You fried your water pump because you were not running any coolant at all, the water pump needs coolant because the coolant contains lubricants that are neede to lubricate your water pump. Because there was no coolant to lubricate the water pump components was the reason you fried it.

You can use water wetter with a coolant/water mix (like standard mix), but to get a GOOD chill (like the bottle says), you can use just a water/water wetter mix.
I ran water and water-wetter alone (no coolant) for almost a year. Never a problem Saw a 20 degree drop from coolant/water mix at running temp.
Well worth it IMHO.
Works good with just one bottle and a standard water/coolant mix as well though.

From what I've read, and experienced....
4 ounces to a gallon. That's it.
And yes, running straight water isn't good as the seals do need some of the lubricants found in coolant. Whether the water wetter has it, I don't know. That would be worth researching.
Though I have run straight water and wetter, I saw no improvement compared to a third coolant mixed in. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

You guys all recommend a full bottle of water wetter then with a system full of water (except for Eee Pee and the bottle itself)? Hmmm, who to believe
I can't add any coolant to the mix because the dragstrip won't allow it (they do check from time to time and I don't want to get banned)
