rear diffuser?
first off sorry i know this been talk before but all i could find was outdated stuff and mainly for other type of racing. i'm currently building a 94 turbo civic coupe for drag aiming for the 10 sec range and this will be a street car also so full interior and was wondering about way to reduced drag so the car won't have to work so much to get to the finish line. i don't like the golden eagle rear diffuser be cause of the ugly hole and i hate them drag wing it just look cheap and not my taste so i was thinking about cutting the middle section of my rear lip and small bottom portion of my bumper and installing a p1 rear diffuser with either a oem skyline r34 or an gtr wing with a few modification, i know it mainly more for touring and time attack but think it would serve a purpose for less drag and more stability to the rear on the 1/4 to gain a few more speed out of it just my theory tho, does anyone have any though or experience on this.

Re: rear diffuser?
A Skyline (park bench style) wing is not going to reduce drag or make the car more aerodynamic for the 1/4 mile. That style of wing is intended to keep down-force on the back end of the car for stability when turning at high speeds. That is why you see it on touring cars.
I have not personally used a rear diffuser like the P1 style. I know SF used to have one on their car but removed it at one point. I don't believe they have run it for a while just from watching videos of the car. I was really curios to ask them what difference they found with or without that big old crazy rear diffuser.

sure i just don't like the 6 hole look on my rear bumper to me it just doesn't make the rear end look as clean, and not hatin on the wing but it just not my style, i know alot of ppl and pro use it but it just not me, i tend to be more on the flashy side with a little more style vs the simple effective style or in other words i just can't see myself paying that much money for something so simple. we all have different taste, preference, and personality drag wing just isn't one of those thing i like to express on my ride.

Where can I find actual facts/figures that the R's rear wing performs a useful function "downforce?"
