Default Pic Request: Downpipe exiting from hood area..

I would like to get some pics of setups where the dp is exiting from some area of the hood. I am currenty running a topmount and the dp exits under the car by the fire wall and its annoying. I would like to get some ideas of having it exit up top. Thanks.

You might try looking through the drag car picture thread as a start.

I always thought more pipe was needed so that the wideband does not read outside air. It's working for him, so I guess its good.

Well I might just keep the pipe long until I get a tune, then cut it right at the hood after the tune.

Do you have a picture of the engine bay and how do you like it coming from the hood?

I was thinking about routing the exhaust this way and having coming out in front of the driver's side wheel. I don't think it will be to restrictive with the two bends since it's 4" and I don't really need a 4". I just don't want it exiting from under the car, to noisy and vibration.

The only negative thing that I have heard about routing out the side near the front wheels is that if you are tuning/dynoing on a a dyno like a Dynapack, it could cause issues because of the exit being too close to the unit.

I thought about that, but I can just flip 180 degrees for the tune if that comes a problem.

Well I had it ran today the way I posted above and what a difference. It sounds so much better, less vibration, and I can actually hear the engine. I'll post some pics later.

We've had a few cars come in with it mounted right there, the other issue I saw was the amount of moisture that it could put out, right in front of the slick.
