Tearing apart the motor and getting ready for next year, this was my first season and I noticed the pistons having crazy wear! Its like this on most the piston skirts but not all, is this normal, or is somthing poss to loose, wrong etc....

shifting at 10-10.2k. Had a couple 3rd to 2nd shifts that went to like 12.5! Are these still usable? Going to change the rings also, number 3 was only 100psi

Looks like the p/w was too tight, or possibly from the miss-shifts.

p/w was to tight and they will make a great paper weight now..get a new set and check the cylinder walls and make sure they are still round top to bottom.should set p/w no tighter then .0045

I'm guessing that you send them the pistons with the block, if so, yes they did mess up.

Damn,

I see that when P/W clearances are off

or heavy detonation/REALLY bad tune.

Have you changed your wideband sensor lately?

PW clearance is too tight. How much whp is this motor making? Also, what do the tops and the chambers look like?

The block needs to be bored and honed again. I'll bet that it was detonation....
