Re: Neu Impact:(The Midori Story) pics/vid.
Finally got a little seat time for the first time! Made 2 qualifying passes.. 1st pass was 11.7 2nd pass was 11.2 and got eliminated on my third trip down the track as I missed 4th gear and messed up something, hopefully its something simple. It feels like maybe the shift selector may have been weaked or broke. I will pull the tranny this week and find out.
All together I really wanted to break into the 10's the first trip out, however I feel like I still have some learning to do and it will happen soon!

Re: Neu Impact:(The Midori Story) pics/vid.
I tore into the transmission this week, and quickly spotted a fracture in the arm of the shift change holder assembly (SCHA).
I dont know if this would be the verdict to my problem but I will try and find anoher one to replace it ASAP. After miss shifting into 4th last weekend I was having touble with the side to side movement with my shifter, almost felt as if something was binding up?? (OEM GSR gears BTW)
Any one have this problem before? Any advice on what else may be causing this?
Here a few update photos.

If it feels like its binding side to side check the interlock to see if its bent. If it is there should be some wear where it sits in the shiftforks.

Thats what I was thinking, however the interlock appears to be just fine, as well as everything else I have looked over. I have replaced the shift change assembly and hope to get some time to get the transmissin put back in he car this week.

Re: Neu Impact:(The Midori Story) pics/vid.
The start of a new race season is right around the corner and just a little update since last year.
Problems found after only one event:
1. Damaged (SCHA) pictured above in the transmision
2. Distributor rotor screw backed out and damaged teeth on the distributor shaft
3. Both Cam gears had vibrated and slipped throwing them off several degrees
Replaced the (SCHA) hopefully it holds up!
I was woried I may have bent some valves from cam gears moving so much, lucky everything checked out on a leakdown test.
Re-degreed the cams in again
Gonna go through and adjust the valve lash and replace the distributor shaft this weekend and hopefully be up and running again!
