Need a Bigger Pump
Ok, im out of fuel pump. Im running e85 and around 1000hp.
Just get a Weldon 2345?
Other brand/model options?
I have an aeromotive a1000 regulator, would i need to change that? Right now i cant set it lower than 55 psi at idle.

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
I have the Magnafuel 4303. I also have the Aeromotive 1000 regulator with -10 & -6 ports, and it returns just fine, down to 20psi or less if I wanted. Something is backed up if you can't get the pressure down. Upsize your return line.

What's your IDC look like? 950-1000 is my goal, but figured 4 injectors wasnt going to cut it with e85?

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
ok, i maxed out completely around 950whp ish.....100+% duty cycle (lol)
the upgrades i made now have given me more air, and i havn't even done a cnc head yet. I can't sustain any further.

I was fine on pressure regulation until I went 16volt. I have a -10 feed and -8 return.

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
I have the same setup with -10 and -8 but not 16v. I can't imagine that being the problem though since I can get down to at least 20psi at idle. 16v shouldn't affect it that much.

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
my previous base idle pressure was around 45-50, immediately going 16v, it jumped to 60. Backed out the screw all the way and it settled at about 52-53 while idling.

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
edited my post... Didn't realize the 4703 was the swivel head 4103. We just bought the 4103 but the car isn't running yet. Magnafuel swears it will be all we will ever need. We obviously aren't gonna get close to testing its potential this year since we're still on the 67mm turbo but 2500+hp at 14v and 45psi base seem really good

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
My new fuel system has a magnafuel MP4703 a Weldon regulator and 7/8 bore fuel rail.
My injector duty went from about 99 down to low 80s. My old fuel system was the A1000 and regulator from aeromotive and a golden eagle fuel rail. Base fuel pressure on both fuel systems is set a 40psi. Hope this helps I like the magnafuel pump the car is on c16 don't know what it will do on e85 or methonal.

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
yeah but what size injectors.
It just seems like you gotta spend that extra 400-500 on the weldon to carry the flow to the end

Quality, Customer Service and proven effectiveness that is why you buy a Weldon Fuel Pump or any of their parts for that matter.
I recently sold a Weldon 2015 that I purchased brand new in 2004....11 years of awesome service...sent back once for their basic go over it rebuild to a tune of something like $50. Only reason I sold it is that we finally outgrew it and do not currently have another car that we can use it on....
If you want the best pump on the market with the best support (Jim Craig at Weldon is unbelievably good at what he does) and want an install and forget it part you put a Weldon Fuel Pump on your car.
I wouldn't even consider anything else.
Here is a fun factoid for you...it is strange to even consider resale value when buying a performance part but items like Weldon Fuel Pumps offer superior resale value. A Brand new Weldon 2015 fuel pump is about $750..i used mine for 11 years and sold it for $500 last month...cost me $22 a year to own it...pretty stellar. Quality parts will always be quality parts and hold their value.

Re: Need a Bigger Pump
We've run a Weldon 2345A on a Methanol car for more than 10 years with Weldon's/Kinsler gold regulator - works a treat !
FuelLab seem to have some nice products out as well, but I have zero experience with them.
