My SFWD TPR Integra build thread.
Who knew the photographer has a SFWD car for himself lol
Well since december of 2008 i have pulled my built sleeved b16 bottom end ITR head and tranny setup out of my car and wanted to start fresh....The car originally made about 430whp on 20psi.....Not too bad of a setup but it was just not enough for me...so im going to update you all with the progress through pics over the past year.
The car had its bad spots....like small rust spots in the quarter and the average dents that come with owning a 1995 car. So i had the car sent off to paint and got the body completely fixed as well. Also did an ABS brake line removal and took out power steering. Decided i would have the engine bay shaved as well.
For the fuel setup i picked up The full blown dual pump setup from LJ at fullblown motorsports...great customer service there thanks again guys. The setup here will be running 1600CC injectors with E85.
Just about done with the engine stripping
With the new paint coming...i had to pick up a nice set of wheels to go with everything else...
How they arrived
The stripping process.
New throttle body and Intake manifold
Twin disc
1 of the 2 wastegates
no more side moldings
BOV
primer and looking for more dents
Now for the good stuff....the motor....
Block:
LS-Vtec
84mm CP pistons Calico coated
Manley turbo tuff rods
ERL Darton mid 84mmsleeves
ERL 5-point main girdle
ARP main studs
TPR competition assembly
Calico race bearings
Toda Timing belt
Toda Oil pump gear
fluidampr race damper
Moroso oil pan&pickup
Head:
New GSR head
Skunk2 Pro 1 cams
Toda cam gears
Supertech stock size black nitrided valves
Supertech valve springs
Crower Cromoly Retainers
Competition valve grind
Mill cylinder head
all honda valve seals.
Tranny:
GSR tranny with Quaife LSD....Then Mfactory 1-4 gearset
my rear springs
I should receive my T1 intercooler on wed thanks to Steven Conley (antilag).
Heres a few pics i took, was bored and wanted to play around with an SB-600 flash.
Tony Palo was kind enough to send me his breather system off of his car so i got that in and mounted up. Thanks again Tony!
also have ordered
Borg warner turbo 91-79
T1 Ultimate Ignition kit.
G-force shifter
ID 2000 2200cc injectors
im sure im forgetting stuff but its all coming together and i will keep everything updated as i progress......My friend Greg will also be welding up charge piping, Dumptubes, and Downpipe.
Goal:
Break 750WHP on E85.
The turbo in the pictures is just a mock up turbo, and is not what im using.
The car has gone from a street car now into a SFWD car over the progress, i transfered this thread over from the build/appearance section, so i may be missing a few details, but i should have everything covered.
I should have my injectors, T1 ultimate ignition, and Gforce shifter in here soon.
I am also waiting on the exospeed DC2 widebody front end to come out, and that is what i plan to put on my car.
Thanks to Rob @ TPR (total performance racing) for all his help, and work that has gone into helping me get this car together.
Thanks for looking
