I think he might need a little stroke to make 305hp on a dynojet though

I'm at 11.5:1 and 84.5mm, with a 4Piston B16 head I'm making 247whp so with 14:1 and a bigger bore I think you'll need a bit of stroke to get there but it should be close. I'm planning on going close to 14:1 this winter as well but would be happy with 270-275.

Thanks for your responds guys! Many guys around the country and out make great hp and times on 86x89 set ups 310,308,300,315, but I think that everything depends who built your head and the correct parts, Florida have 2 cars rigth now on 10.4 and 10.3 with young block 86x89,,, is very difficult between MCP and 4piston both company's have very competitive race cars! Btw sorry for my English !

If you go with mission critical hit up DDTECH. Derek can talk to you about their service and has great info/hookups. They will get the next head I want to port more then likely.

Why not have TBMotorworx port your head?

He knows what works with his cams and header obviously...

Anyway, my choice would be 4piston because of u ask me, there's nothing better out there. They're always willing to help with any problems and willing to give advice. Most people will just sell u a head and that's it. We have 2 b series with 4piston heads. 86x87.2=291hp and the other is 86x98=330hp. Without the head out would never make close to that.

I see you're getting several TB parts, have you considered a TB CNC head? A.L.R. runs their cnc heads and made over 300hp with the tb3 cams. Thier head flows 300+cfm, even on the gsr head.

What is your turn around time required? Both companies will get that goal no problem.

The 3 company's tb,4piston and MCP have almost the same prices and maybe same quality and reputation, ones more than others, many people use 4piston head, speedfactory, lowbudget team, pagan,Ramey etc... And MCP have many people too prayoonto team, supertech with Chris miller, and TB with amaury,Pelon built etc, so is very hard to make a decision at this point! This engine is small almost 2.1l but I think that all those parts on this built are perfect at my point! My time to start this project is max in 3 months

Roll a dice? LOL if you're running TB stuff I'd concur with the other and say have them do your head work too.

MCP.....I wouldn't think twice between the two. Customer service and answering questions goes a long ways.

it would actually make sense to use TB's head, would it not? or are we not building an engine that makes sense?

4 Piston or MCP you can't go wrong with either. In all honestly, Both Luke and Saul will take care of anyone. The work speaks for themselves. I suggest talking to each then deciding.. Some of the fastest cars in the entire world run either of these heads..
