Devcon is "Liquid Aluminum", IMO its a glorified JB weld, I'm using it as a block guard, it's 1" thick,so from the deck down to the water pump, I then place the HG over it and drilled the coolant passages, I'm trying to find those pics to post them, but Devcon is a machinable item after it's cured, it's pretty solid stuff

I like where this is headed.

Did you have to vibrate the block somehow to get salt/devcon to settle?

I used a flat head, and poked it all over, then I took the same flat head shown in the pic above, it has depth limit on it (1'') made from electrical tape, and I used that to level and the salt after it settled so it can all be the same height. Ive been running the car on a street tune for 3 wks now feels great, its on 15lbs, but im having really low oil pressure, so ill be getting a new oil pump ASAP. then its off to the dyno

Bringin back the Devcon fill - Did you read the Hotrex / CCFab write up about this? My buddy Scott wants to try the Devcon fill on his LS turbo - if it works, great. If not, we ruined a $50 LS block.

In for power numbers

Really liking what you've done so far. I like to see people doing everything themselves for cheap, since I'm a cheap *** at heart lol.

What numbers are you hoping for? What fuel are you tuning one? Looks like your 550cc injectors will be the limiting factor power wise. I'm really interested to see how well those sleeves hold up. Good work so far dude!!

yeah unfortunately my injectors wont give me what im looking for, Im shooting for 450-500hp, my clutch is also slipping, its a 4 puck competition, but im guessing the pressure plate is the giving me problems, ill just replace the whole thing all together.

Hey did you have to drill an extra hole in your obx intake manifold for all the studs to line up on the head?? I just installed my obx IM tonight and had to drill a hole for the last stud closest to the timing belt. Just wondering if yours was the same.

When are you hitting the dyno? Looking forward to the results!

Yes I had to drill that same hole, those manifolds are very poorly casted, I noticed when I opened up the plenum, its very grainy inside, I smoothed it all out and ported the runners as u prob already saw, going to the dyno as soon as I replace my clutch
