Nice job! I think you found the breaking point in the trans... any tricks learned to keep it alive? What power you at now you guess?

Im not sure how much power but judging by the trap speed and weight around 600whp. I have been whipping that trans ***. I guess the cuff makes a world of difference because otherwise it hasn't skipped a beat.

Re: Kenny's H22 civic 62mm Street car
I need to put an oem master cylinder back in the car so I can slip the clutch a little. The OMNI master with the twin disk is brutal as far as pedal travel. It is ON/OFF. Its stiff but that is not the issue, the issue is as soon as it begins to release it bangs. I think that is the reason the axle broke.
Same reason my reaction time is so slow ... Im always releasing the clutch as slowly as possible but when it grabs it feels just like dumping the clutch.

Heck yea. I really liked them. Side by side they are much beefier then the Insane Shafts. I emailed and called dss about 5 times trying to buy the needle bearing and assembly to rebuild them. But they never responded. So When I broke the IS I just put the spider setup in the dss.

Re: Kenny's H22 civic 62mm Street car
Took the car to Gainesville Auto Plus raceway for street car night. Bad mistake. Prep was the worst I have ever seen. Cars were going sideways half way down the track. A guy actually ended up wrecking and causing the night to end an hour and a half early actually.
So anyways I made two back to back 10.3 passes One at 144 and One at 143mph. Both slips were nearly identical. 1.88 60's.
Car feels great. It feels like it is flying. Spending less then two seconds in each of the first three gears are great. I end up being in 4th for nearly 5 seconds. Crazy. I should slam 4th with way more boost.
These passes were on 25 psi in third and 4th gear. Picked up a few mph n the 1/8th and a couple up top.

Thanks! I drive the car almost every single day. I sold my street wheels and tires a couple weeks ago so I have been driving on slicks and skinnies. People look like WTF! I think most of them assume my wide tires should be on the back hahaha

Re: Kenny's H22 civic 62mm Street car
I bought Strausser's trans from him. He went 10.02@152 with it at 630whp in a 2,450 weight car. Hopefully I can put down some good power and times on it.
Mfactory diff, carbon synchros, 5th gear cuff and accord final drive. Thought about swapping the FD back to the 4.266 but he had to rev the car to 9,400 to get the 152mph.

Love your progress in this build bro 👌

Another 4th gear down! Doing some little upgrades while the car is down. Going to add a little weight to the front of the car and get it 60 footing better. Finally getting some time to work on my own stuff again.

Keep at it...
Thought about swapping some gears out or final drive for some longer stuff?
Safe to say cuff probably gives you 50+ more hp?

Re: Kenny's H22 civic 62mm Street car
I just went from a 4.0 accord final drive to the standard prelude 4.26 ... The end of the gears felt very long to me. In my logs I spent 1.5 seconds in first, 1.5 in 2nd, 2 seconds in 3rd, and almost 5 seconds in 4th (in the quarter mile). I figure if I can send less time in 4th gear it will pick up time. I am not making the power to need really long gears. The m2a4 gear ratio is very close to a gsr which is an all time favorite.

Re: Kenny's H22 civic 62mm Street car
KC Jones brought up a dozen of the Florida Preludes to our shop. Had a mini dyno day. Finally decided to put my car on the dyno. First time in almost a year!
Made 646whp and 494.9wtq on only 23.7 psi wastegate pressure. No decking on block, no milling of the head and a Fel pro headgasket. Cam gears were set to 0/+4. Very pleased with the power. It took 4 people in the car and two people standing on the door sills to hook with some mediocre 225 eagle directional tires. Strapped to the bone! The 4.266 final drive feels like a huge improvement over the 4.0 very glad I switched back to the 4.266. On the 24.5 slicks itll do 153 at 9848rpm

Hi Kenny, what is your fuel consumption out of interest? Cause a stock H is heavy on fuel as it is...
Thanks.
Thanks.

Half way saved up for the new slicks and skinnies. I have a family vacation in Michigan july 11th-25th. After that I am busting *** to get them. Going to get the weld 13x10's with a 24.5x9.5x13 m&h. Cant wait to test then.
