How often are you guys changing your fuel filters?
I have a sumped tank with a -8 outlet going to a 10 micron filter. Then goes to the A1000, from there to an aeromotive 100 micron filter. Seems like im changing the post pump filter every 3 months or so of street/track duty. Pulled the pump apart and everything is good in it. Thinking about changing the pre filter to a 40 or 100 micron. BUt dont wanna be spending $150 on 2 filters every 3-4 months. Guess i should post, im using pump E85.

You should have the larger micron filter pre pump and the smaller micron post pump. Get your self a 60 micron stainless steel filter before the pump and depending what injectors and fuel you should have 5-10 micron after the pump.

ditto on the stainless element, ive got the cheap summit ones and they just screw apart. you can remove the element and clean it in a couple minutes

What turbo ls said you have your microns backwards. Get a stainless unit so you can clean it. I just picked up a 10 micron stainless unit from b&r gitttings. I had always read you can only get 10 micron in fiberglass to be e85 compatible, but they had them in stainless when I called to place an order.
