How long is race fuel good for
I had just put about 10 gallons of c16 in my tank a few months back, planning to get the car re-tuned on a different EMS the following week. Well one thing turned into another, and I am still trying to iron out the wrinkles to get the car to run again. How long do you all think the c16 is good for in the tank? I know that it will lose octance rating quick if it sits in the barrel on concrete, but what about in the tank? What do you guys think?

well I have a 55 gallon drum of c12 and I have had it for like 4 months now and god knows how long it was at the distributers warehouse.
It has been fine so far. I know that gas smells pretty damn nasty when it get old. If I knew what dusty old *** smelled like it would probably smell like that.

Race fuel will last a very long time if stored in the proper container. The VP barrels that are lined with plastic can keep fuel fresh for years. However once the fuel has been exposed to air it will being to deteriorate. While in gas tanks sludge can form an possible clog up fuel filters/lines. Try not to keep race fuel in a gas tank very long due to air and dirt breaking it down. You may be able to cotact VP and see what they suggest.

Greats thanks for the feedback, I may try to get in contact with VP. I am gonna be slightly pissed if I have to siphon out 10 gallons of fuel to replace it. That like 80-100 bucks down the drain.

Cool link.
I spoke with VP and they stated that the fuel "might" be good and that I should just mix some fresh fuel in just in case. Anymore opinions?

if your gonna be boosting some high psi, i would dump it out. it's not worth melting down your motor. if your only gonna boost like 15-20 pounds, maybe mix in some fresh stuff with it.
