We do our own on our race car as most of the race cars out there have on theirs as well. Heres a tip to get the black out line under the lexan. Get your whole lexan peices down to shape. Always leave the protectent film on. On what would be the insdie of the window, take an exacto knife and trim out what you want the border to be and peel it away. Then get a rag and spray carb. cleaner on the rag and wipe it all around the open lexan on the border surface to ruff it up. Let it dry for a minute and now you can spray the borders black. Thats how everyone does it.

it will form when you bolt it in. use your original windows as your templates for the new ones.

i used the old windo as templates and even installed the windos in the doors
if u make them excatly the sam u can even roll them up and down it just takes some patients

you gotta rivet to something...
We made door skins because our door were all gutted out. So we just extended the door skins up a little, and riveted on to the skin, instead of trying to have tabs like that.

good picture of the edging we put all around the lexan to clean it up, and the weather sealing putty we used.

inside of the sunroof, we had to weld a lip on there, for the lexan to sit on.

anyways, I have more pictures, if you would like to see more.

Re: Home-made Lexan/Plexiglass windows (Bserious)
it's some of that stuff that you put on the edges of doors to avoid giving chipping your paint along that edge..
We picked it up at an autobody supply store. It also works well around the edges of the fiberglass front end, where it isn't finished very well.
