Re: DRAG SUSPENSION QUESTION
i'm 100% sure that omni doesn't sell coilovers anymore. I called omni about 2 months ago to see if they would rebuild the leaky set of omni coilovers that i have and the guy said quote "we stopped selling/rebuilding coilvers about a year ago." I would strongly recommend progress drag suspension because the quality and customer service are both top notch.

Re: DRAG SUSPENSION QUESTION
A stiff suspension is NOT a good choice for a drag car. If you're using a spring heavier than 650lbs then you must not know what you are doing. lol. This applies to a car that is no heavier than 2600lbs.

Re: DRAG SUSPENSION QUESTION
It's a prety simple concept actually....
You want the suspension to move freely so it can respond properly to the chassis and ground. When you firm things up the ridigity you add is not going to help you. It's a band-aid.
Take this for an example.... miller is running super soft springs in the rear of his car. Somewhere in the 300-400lb range. He cuts 1.5's or better all day long.
You would do FAR better with a suspension where you can adjust dampening AND rebound.
With this the bushings that you have all over the car will kill the suspension too. Spherical bearings will really allow the car to do what it's suppose to do.
Take a "turbo school" class and you'll understand exactly what I am talking about.

Re: DRAG SUSPENSION QUESTION
ive cut 1.6's on stock rear suspension, eibach springs on the front with drag radials... now with the ksports i cut 1.6's with a 24.5" x 8 x 13 drag slick. I cant make the rear soft enough... There are so many variables when selecting and actually dialing in a proper working street and/or drag setup.
