Default Deist scatter shield..HTF does it go on??

I got a Deist scatter shield from my buddy for xmas and for the life of me I cant figure out how this f*^king thing goes on!! if I try to go under the starter Iam off the center line (where I guess the brackets bolt to) by around 4 inchs and if I try to go over the starter the POS is a foot to short..maybe I have had a really long day and am just not getting it or maybe I should have just got the GE scatter shield..anybody have any pics of this thing installed?

i had one and it is a pain to put on, and still feels like it doesn't fit.you start at the top of the tranny where the bolts go throughthe tabs and just wrap it around, fighting it all the way.i remember the first time i put it in,i thought i had made a big mistake, but after doing it a milion times,it is pretty easy

yeah, you have to pull hard on the straps to get the velcro to stick on.

They are a pita, but one tip. Start where the shift linkage goes through and then wrap from there, and yes over the starter and over the slave if you still have one I think they are 100x easier then the str/ge/whoever else style, but only after maybe the 3rd time putting them on.
