Re: B20Z P8R Head Crower III Non Vtec 11.4@116
but to listen to your motor you can use a Knock Listening Devices
Using Knock Listening Devices for Engine Tuning by Apex Speed Technology | Apex Speed Technology
Also the EGT is another tool that will tell you if the mixture is Lighting to late, on a late timing youll still got explosion during the exhaust acording to the late timing that will create hot exhaust.. the inverse... if the timing is to fast will get a cooler exhaust cuz mixture in ending from burning.
There is so many things to do if you want your motor at his best..
All The procedures to do take time, and time on the Dyno cost money,
You have to find your peak Torque at a determinate RPM, Let say you work only at 4000rpm... AFR and timing
when you get the best torque that you can,
Then you want to keep the EGT at same temperature for every RPM,
so the AFR have to be stable, so you will not get difference in your EGT reading cuz of the mixture leaner...
But dont forget, the temperature is mooving inside the motor, before that your wather sensor can read it.
Before you go On the Dyno, You may want to know, how many time that your motor take or should take to encrease by 1000rpm, so you can adjust the proper load.
To know all these variations that you have to know to find all the perfect setting to your motor, you're better of to know more that I know on the subject. LOL

Thanks budy,
Thats fu*k and Right
and this is the reason why i made it.
Not that its the fastest race car, But it got a motor that, not much people would belive able to give so much love
The biggest problem on a Non Vtec B serie motor, to achieve over 200Whp is the head flow...
As i knew my head was to give me the needed air flow to make great power, I made the built
everybody think that I'm genius, but don't tell them that it's the P8R head that is genius ...
well... There is maybe a little bit of the way that i left it

the B series will never die.
Thanks to Honda for having produced the 96-97 P8R head that brings even more pleasure in the Non-Vtec tuning.
If I had a sponsor I'd do again the stroker 2.15L with the same head set up.
My stroker that have not been properly machined had produce 178 fpt before it broke the crank.
