yes that is his car and i said something about it in the pictures he posted on his face book. he deleted that comment asap. then i posted pictures of the shitty work on his wall and they were deleeted right away and i was blocked. report him to the better business bureau.

Ok I'm going to leave this post up. The main man behind the doors that owns the business just called me. He told me that it wasnt even about the money it's about his name that is on the line. He wants to come pick up the car tomorrow at 11:00am completly rip the cage out and start over. I honestly can't hate on that. He want's to try his hardest to make this right. I kinda believe him. I am going to give them the benifit of the doubt and let them pick it up tomorrow. I will post more up and if he makes it right like he says then I will give the man credit when it is due. I don't have any hard feelings and don't hold grudges. I just want it done correctly.

Good Luck, but that shop is fucked..... probably the worst cage install I have ever seen..... get your money back.... If they did the cage like that, I could only imagine if any of those WELDS are up to proper standards............ Last thing you want is to find out they cant weld for shyt, after a crash....

i didnt catch it but did you pay $2k cash?

when i usually spend that kind of money, i charge it on my card.

that way if it doesnt come out the way it was suppose to, just file a dispute with your card company and they will get it sorted out.

It's been disputed. Like I said they are picking the car back up to redo the whole thing and try to make it right.

when things like this happen, we shouldnt take it lightly. if we do, we are just letting those kind of companies get away with it and they wil keep doing it.

Deffiently getting unfollowed on Instagram, that's horrible. Try to have a tech pass it again, hope it fails and demand they re-do it. That's a very big saftey issue!

I totally agree when it comes to this situation.

btw, the SN on the cert sticker should be traceable to the tech that affixed it. They should be reported or something! Thats just fuel to that shops fire when a tech passes that crap.

On my phone it looked like plates under those washers. I can't believe they just used washers. This is one of those "truth is stranger than fiction" situations. It's amazing what they tried to pull. Hopefully this guy makes it right

WOW. I hope for your sake when they "redo" the cage, they have someone actually experienced do it. Cob jobs FTL. I just don't understand how you can do such a crappy job on something so serious? Having a roll cage installed is NOT what the average joe shmo goes out and just randomly gets done.. you usually are pretty serious about racing and have an idea of what to expect.

sad part is that this probably wouldnt have gotten fixed if it didnt blow up on honda-tech/facebook. shady company nonetheless.

seriously shouldnt pay upfront ever for any kind of labor

pay half at most ( gives the person enough to buy materials etc) but never full cash upfront.

my story
sent my car to a body shop
paid 500 bucks
2 weeks later car was straight all panels on and was being wetsanded, i said cool its almost done.
paid the shop full bill
watched my car sitting lonely for next 3 weeks with maybe 5 minutes of work done every day( i worked right across the shop and could see inside.
after asking WTF few times i kept getting the runaround
then 3 months later it was done...
with 3 wrinkled paint spots on the bumper and fenders lol
took it back 3 times to fix
after 8 months i said **** it. and repoed the car
took it to another shop
and whole front end was repainted and done next day ready to drive. but it cost me extra 800 bucks
lesson learned NO CASH UPFRONT.

I think you're right on that one. But dudes dad personally called me and wants to make it right because he is old school and his reputation means something to him.

A shitty cage is MORE dangerous than nothing at all. I cannot believe that passed any sort of tech inspection.

Here's to hoping they make it right. They better go above and beyond after this hack job.
