Default 4cylfeind's PROJECT 142 ver. 2.0 *2012 build*

This is my very first build that I just finished up in August of '10. To make a long story short, I found this car in Kissimme (sp?) Florida using Craigslist. The very next day, my girlfriend and I were on a plane flying down from Indy to buy it. The reason I wanted this particular one was because it was a rust free car even though it was Milano Pink. When I brought the car home, I drove it for a few months and then it went under the knife in late Feb of '10. Before I bought the car I had it already set in my mind that I wanted it to have a turbo B18c1 and I wanted to do it from the ground up. I tried to keep a tight budget on the project but as many of you know, it doesnt quite happen that way.. lol. After spending months working on it for a few hours here and there each night, I finally finished the car in late August of '10 with some help from some friends. This being my first build I was really happy with the results. On 93 octane the car made 400whp@16 psi. on an unfinished tune due to a broken pressure ACT pressure plate. The car was later street tuned on E85 and made roughly 450ish@16 psi (stock sleeves). Heres a very vauge picture timeline:

Day I purchased the car

First time pulling an engine!

My time is on the right

**I currently have the block stripped down and ready to get AEBS sleeves, Manley I-beams, CP 84mm 9.7:1 pistons, S2 Pro1 cams, Supertech valve springs and retainers, VictorX intake manifold, PTE Billet JB 6262, M&W Pro10 ignition, and a Fathouse Fabrications topmount manifold.

I plan on really getting into running some of the local Import Faceoff events but its a little late in the year for that. So I have set my goal to make a 142 pass at the track. Im not sure what kind of power it will make because Im only running ID1000s with e85. Im guessing somehwere around 620-630ish should be obtainable. I also picked up a set of M&H street and strips in 235-60-15 that im going to run instead of the 275-50-15 MT ET Streets that are pictured.

This has been a complete learning experience for me especially since this is only my second build. Fortunately I'm surrounded by alot of very knowledgeable friends who have helped me get the car where it is today. If anyone else on here has any suggestions please feel free to chime in. The car is gettin close and I'm really stoked to start makin boost! Thanks for lookin guys!

Here is some of the progress that has been made in the last few months:

My JB billet 6262

Billetness

Fathouse

AEBS Sleeves done by InlinePro

84mm CP Pistons and Manley Turbo Tuff rods

M&W pro10 with MSD HVC coil

ATI harmonic balancer

Edelbrock VictorX Intake manifold and .030 mls Cometic headgasket

Had to buy this

Back together

Moms tow rig. Headin to Fathouse Fabrications

Fathouse Fabrications Honda Spec Topmount Fatifold

Downpipe mockup

Measured and cut

Soooo nice!!!

looks good so far. youre going to have to cut or remove the front bumper support to get the intercooler high enough to not hang below the stock front bumper if it matters to you. ive got it, its an awesome intercooler.

Thanks!
Ya I ran it last year and im reappy happy with the fitment. It does hang below the bumper about a half inch. I think im going to have to get gregs big boy intercooler and take the bumper support out because I think the size is going to be a little small.

Thank you! I am actually going to have my buddy weld up a firewall for the fuel cell and battery over the winter then it will get caged.
I really like the fcs fuel cell but I don't really want to change everything around at this point

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the comments. I've been living paycheck to paycheck trying to get this thing done so I can make a 142 pass this year!
I could only wish it was half as clean as rob's car.

As of right now, I have 275-50-15 M/T ET Streets but after pushing it around in the drive way and tryin to maneuver it, it seems like they are going to be a bit wide for the streets because the turning radius is so limited. If I ran a spacer or different wheel it wouldnt be so bad.

I actually just bought a pair of 235-60-15 M&H Street/Strip bias ply tires for the street. People have had really good luck hooking high hp on the streets with these tires. More so than the 275 ET streets even. The 275's are really heavy also..
