Default Hotrod/PFWD 1000+whp dyno chart?

I was just curious if anyone had a 4cylinder dyno chart of a hotrod/PFWD car. that was over 1000whp.....I would just like to see one...i have seen 800 or so...I figure some are just tuned on the track....post up some pics .

Edit i tried to change the title to be dragracing specific....but oh well.. I figured anyone making this type of power would be here not in FI forumn

Most guys making that kind of power either tune on an engine dyno or tune based on data logs at the track. Pretty hard to hold 1000 on a chassis dyno.

Dynojet with win pep 7 can "handle" up to 1800 hp. The most i have seen on a dyno was 1510hp!! (It was a supra, who would of thought)

Im sure you all have seen the Dan Millen turbo stang video where he pegs the dyno. Anyways I have seen a few 1000whp+ vids and what not and all of them were pretty much Mustangs. I have seen a 1000+ ft lbs of torque vid and that was on a turbo diesel and it made about 600whp I think.

Thats the problem there is no 1000hp hondas. The only cars I recall traping 1000hp mph is gary and tran. They both hit 180 mph. they may have not even been putting down 1000hp to do it. I think garys car only did it on spray. Theres a bunch of cars in the 900s . Everyone is running 8 160lb injectors which is only good for 960hp then your out of fuel. Nobody wants to run bigger injectors like a 220 or 280 cause they spray like a garden hose. Problem with nitrous is it cracks heads. Now that bothwell car has got to be well above 1000hp no nos eight injectors I'd like to know what there using. My injectors went static and I'm at 812hp but my base fuel is at 50 psi. I feel comfortable making it 75psi but I don't think I'll make 900 with that so we'll see. Oh yeah steph prolly did it. Oh well good luck with the post.

The dynojet can handle the power but what I think earl is trying to say is how are you going to keep a fwd honda from lighting the tires up on the rollers. Most guys will use track testing and datalogging to complete thier tuning process.

our car had no problem on the dyno. didnt even budge the tires. (28x10.5's) maybe with 200 more HP it could be a problem ??? i think it comes down to how well the car is strapped down.

some guys are/were running ten injectors. two in the intake tube right before the throttle body. 2.0 coupe did you run your car yet? I know you have been working on it for a while.

Bothwell/Lumas car has never seen a chassis dyno. Everything is done on the engine dyno. I'm sure when Jack Rousch Race Cars built Gary's car, it was tuned for him on the engine dyno also.
When guys say Supra made over 1000 on a chassis dyno, those are rear wheel drive cars.
I saw Lance Ho Lung's Prelude powered Civic on the chassis dyno. It moved around like a chained down lion seeing it's dinner but not able to quite reach it. It was bad ***.

Our last year's hotrod car that we did (that we couldn't afford an xtrac or comprible for) was 946whp on a dynojet... I don't have the chart, but it stayed on the rollers ok. But like 2.0coupe said, that's running 4 x 1600cc injectors... but not on Methanol, on Ethanol + nitrous. It's hard for us to travel that much when we have a shop to run as well, so we said the xtrac wasn't worth the investment, and went back down to sport FWD.

Scratch that I'm wrong. I spoke with Bothwell today and they have 8 160lbs injectors and 1250hp. Thats detuned from last year. Nothing special there you can do it with a honda just has to be done right. Its funny how much stock stuff is on there car.
1fstcorrado I hope to be back at atco this week doing some passes . I was there this thursday and all I did was a burnout before the nylon washer on my fuel cell took a ****.

We just retuned last night and made over 1000 on the dyno. I don't have a pic, but I do have an old picture of our dyno graph. It's not 1000, but will 952 h.p. and 784 ft. lbs. of TQ do?

The wavy line was boost hunting, we have that fixed by the way. That was 36 lbs. of boost!

Was it a honda? Was it a four cylinder? Do you have 8 160lb injectors? Methenol? Whats the base fuel pressure? Info please.

This is the motor I built for Ed Bergenholtz. Mazda 2.3L 4 cyl. Methanol, (8) 160 lbs. per hour injectors. FP base about 60.

I cannot post the one from last night because the team doesn't want me to show it. They only agreed to let me post this one because it is about a year old now and we are up on power.

The only reason we didn't blow the tires away is because we ran 31 /10.5 MT's on the dyno. They hooked the whole time

If the car is strapped correct it should never blow the tires off even with 26's. Thanks for the info . I have the orange coupe you asked about awhile back and yes we have begun testing. Reason I ask about injectors is because we seem to be the only ones who have gone static with them and only made 812hp. Tuner says put more injectors in intake. Bothwell makes 1250hp at 40 psi base. I have a very good motor . Right block good head stock cams but **** I've seen Plenty do more with stock cams. I'm just trying to figure stuff out. Thanks
