Default Re: [FAQ] The Official DOHC-Powered Civic 1/4 Mile Thread (BauleyCivic)

Well, finally got back to the track for my second time ever, here's the results

-Quarter Mile Time: 16.698
-MPH Trap Speed: 88.23
-60ft Time: 2.840

-Quarter Mile Time: 15.939
-MPH Trap Speed: 87.80
-60ft Time: 2.526

-Quarter Mile Time: 15.811
-MPH Trap Speed: 90.57
-60ft Time: 2.451

-Quarter Mile Time: 15.848
-MPH Trap Speed: 90.25
-60ft Time: 2.529

These are the same for all 4 runs:
-Tires: 195/50 Kumho 711's on 99 GSR blades
-Car Year, Model, Body Style, Trim Level: 92 Honda Civic VX Hatchback
-Engine Code: B16a (JDM)
-N/A or FI: NA
-Elevation or US State if you don't know: Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho (somewhere around 3000 ft above sea level)
-Modifications: Injen short ram, 2.5" exhaust bolted straight to the header (no cat), exedy organic clutch, act pro-lite flywheel, full interior.

These times suck, but I need better tires and more practice. I did however make it to the 3rd round of bracket racing, and didn't get eliminated but it started raining so we didn't get to finish.

Update:
Now for my third time to the track:

Run 1:
-Quarter Mile Time: 15.756
-MPH Trap Speed: 90.78
-60ft Time: 2.564

Run 2:
-Quarter Mile Time: 15.486
-MPH Trap Speed: 88.20
-60ft Time: 2.467

Track, car, and info the same as above, except I got some ES Motor Mount Inserts installed for these runs.

-Quarter Mile Time - 15.322 - Launching at 3K, first time @ track, and shifting at ~8.4 K on the tach, which my VAFC says is only 7800...

-N/A or FI - N/A
-Elevation or US State if you don't know - Roughly sea level, Maui Raceway Park
-Modifications - Rytek Intake, Apex'i WS, Untuned, rich as hell at higher rpm's. Should be tuned in the next week or so, then I'll drop the PSI on my tires, empty out my trunk, get a RELIABLE tach, and pray for low 14's...

60 foot----2.301
Brand new Yokohama AVS ES 100's on 16x7 Rota slipstreams @29psi
