First use of M105/205 product
So I ordered the sample sizes of Meguiar's M105 & 205 from ADS to see if all the hype is warranted.
My test subject, an 04 Honda CR-V in Nighthawk black pearl.
This is after a wash and clay:
As you can see, the paint was pretty beat up.
Here are some result pics...
Left fender:
Passenger fender:
After M105;
Hood:
Some random finished pics:
Process was:
Wash & clay
PC7424 w/
M105 on 5.5" Orange LC cutting pad
M205 on 6.5" white LC polishing pad
M21 hand applied w/ black foam applicator ( X2 )
Ultima Ultimate trim guard plus on all exterior plastics
I'm extremely pleased with the M105/205 product. It somehow cuts more and finishes better than any of their other products that i've used. subsequently I've stocked up with multiple 32oz bottles of 105 and 205.

fantastic!
do you have the equivalent of a lake country gray or blue pad?
next time you are bored or are doing a car that is normally very well kept (so it'll be worth it), run the 205 with the PC on speed 6 and said no cut pad...apply some pressure initially and then back off and just let the thing glide like normal, with just the weight of the machine. give it a couple passes working slowly and check it vs. the white pad finished portion; some finishes you can really see a difference, esp under certain light.

I have tried the 205 with a black finishing pad(no cut) on my wife's black BMW and have noticed quite a difference in overall gloss and depth in direct sun light. It's a great combo.

**** ive used it with yellow on a ford and it still didnt remove all the swirls. I finished up with the blue pad with scratch-x and holy hell talk about a difference in the finish and shine. That was the smoothest paint i have ever felt

Re: First use of M105/205 product
Thanks guys.
I usually use a white pad with 105 but that CR-V was beat. Like 1.5slowmatic, I used it with a yellow pad on the hood of the CR-V because it was so messed up on there. M105 is awesome like that though, it cuts extremely hard yet leaves almost no micro-marring, i have no idea how they did it, but this stuff is a dream come true.

Looks awesome...I picked up 105/205 with a 7424 recently for after I finish my paint job, and I'm really looking forward to using it. These pictures are encouraging!
