mocking up the double antiroll bar.

shock has a strange bottom mount to make it align. would work better if the mount was centralised but I thought i'd try it to see how it works and if it works ok.

the top mount is shortened so the top of the shock leans in further.

shock is rose jointed so will have rubber o rings on the bottom spacers to keep it steady.

Wow, who would have thought some welding rod would look so awesome on a dash??

Also a question about your dual roll bar setup, are you using a custom front sway bar as the secondary one?

Keep us updated, would love to see this car in person one day once it's all done up!

iv'e got some spare S800 antiroll bars.

the standard mounts wouldn't take the loading of a very thick roll bar so it'll be on its own mounts. the back end will remain fairly soft in comparison.

next year is the 50th anniversary of the S800 being sold in the UK so it'll be nice to try to get it ready for then.

You may want to check on the road height with the additional sway bar.

From the photo this looks like it may be in serious contention to be ripped off if doing serious driving. The original one is tucked away so that the crash plate is the lowest part of the front of the car.

The additional anti-roll bar would be perhaps 2 or 3cm off the ground on my car. My front license plate hits a few obstacles already for example too. I've lowered my torsion bars two notches, and have the adjusters on setting 4, running 13 inch wheels and 175/60s. A 14 inch wheel might help clearance, but you're likely going to use a 50-series tire? Neko.

the angle of the photo makes it look very low. it isn't the lowest point on the car.

Ah ha. I just measured my ground clearance at the front, and it is 9 cm at the front member caps - the lowest point on my car. Neko

back to fiddly stuff at the moment so not a lot of progress

but so far:

vented disc conversion MK2.

using MK2 hubs and a spacer it's a much neater solution than the MK1 version.

beefier wheel studs for extra strength and makes it easier to get various wheel nuts for the various wheels.

and this is the little MG bearing spacer modified to fit between the S800 bearings.

loads of clearance on the 13inch alloys and clear the standard steel wheel .

should work a bit better than the standard set up and easy to do now I have all the measurements. the MK2 hub is definatly the one to use as it looks a lot tidier than the MK1 version, although the MK1 hub will work.
