Default 1982-85? clock HONDA ACCORD

HI, i need help with wiring one of these clocks. i purchased this clock

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Accord...vip=true&rt=nc

and it has no pigtails or wiring on it. it has prongs for a plug but i do not have the plug. can someone with this clock or similar year tell me which wires come out of which prong? 4 prongs so i am thinking one is for constant power, ground, light, and dimmer? someone help please.

clock is for a 1982-85 honda accord but i putting it into another vehicle.

You can figure it out easily using a 9volt battery and wiring the power and ground to the different pins. I have an 82 Accord digital clock sitting at home and have wired it up that way.

I will take a look if I rememeber and try to document the pinout.

i did not want to connect power to ground pin and ruin the clock. if the pinout is a 4 prong, please let me know 1.2.3.4. because the clock has 4 prongs. also, not sure if this makes a difference but my clock is analog

if only i can figure out which is power, ground, light, and dimmer. the back of my clock has 4 prongs and it's an analog clock. is that diagram for a analog clock, what year? how would i read that wiring diagram? here is a picture of the back of my clock.

^^
maybe you can help me read the wiring diagrams. does yours look like the above diagram? on my clock, top left and bottom middle are blank slots so if the diagram above is correct,

top left is - panel lights power

top middle is - ignition power

bottom left is - dimmer input

bottom right is - ground

i followed the diagram and so far these bottom two are correct.

top left - lights power
bottom left - ground dimmer

but when i connect a fused line to top middle and grounded bottom right, nothing happened. i want to try switching these two but am not sure if i will ruin the clock. anyone know?

i figured it out. took the clock apart and traced the wires. here is the correct 1984 honda accord analog clock wiring.

top left is - panel lights power

top middle is - GROUND

bottom left is - dimmer input

bottom right is - CONSTANT POWER

Cool man. Glad you got it figured out! I've swapped digital and analog clocks in my car, just a plug and play deal. Wonder what's up with that diagram. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be a pinout?
