wiring 2 4ohm DVC subs for 2ohm load
hey guys i have a question
i have 2 kaption 12" dual voice coil subs that are 4ohm
i need to wire them for 2ohm so i can get the best performance from my amp which is 2 ohm stable and about 656 watts rms
On crutchfield the only load options are 1 ohm or 4 ohm
how can i load it for 2 ohm?
heres the almost completed setup

.... not our fault you have a mismatched amp and subs
you can either get another amp, or like adrian1281 said, get 2ohm dvc subs. those are your ONLY options. saying 'that's not an option' is not an option. simple as that.

just because it's a 2 ohm stable amp doesn't mean you'll need to run it at 2 ohms. with a 4 ohm load, the amp will run cooler, be less of a strain on your cars electrical system, less distortion and last longer. it will be more reliable that way.

Re: (nsxxtreme)
we are on a budget, 1000w rms tsunami 1ohm amp, not really 1000w rms but close
the first person to comment on the setup was my neighbour 5 houses down
"can you turn that down? my whole house is shaking"
fat bitch will love when i get my 15"s

This is how I wire 2 4ohm dvc subs to a 2ohm load. You can do it the check it with a multimeter then no longer listen to the know it all people that have nothing better to do than argue back and forth rather then give ya a simple opinionated answer. Sorry drawing isn' artist quality.
