Default what id bitwriter for?

what is it used for? i know programing but cant i do that now with my remote pad? what can i do that i cant do with the remote pad? im offer a good deal on one and was wonder if i should jump on it.

You can programm the the alarm easier then counting chirps. You can also program special features of the alarm that only the bittwritter can do that you can not do from the alarm itself. Also you need to make sure that the bittwriter has the newest upgraded chip. Or it won't work with the new alarm units.

It makes changing the programming options on your alarm easier. If you have a basic Viper/Clifford/DEI alarm, this probably wont do you any good. You can purchase update chips for the Bitwriter if yours is out of date.
