Default Trunk / Shunt PROBLEM When trunk opens car cuts off!

Ok so I installed my Viper 5000 and when I open the trunk it cuts the car off, even with the alarm not armed. It is kinda annoying, I was at home and went to open the trunk to get the groceries out of the back and it cut the car off, How can I fix/ reprogram the alarm to not cut my car off when the trunk is open?

Ps, this is also annoying because my battery is in the trunk.

What do you mean the car cuts off? Does the alarm sound when you open it? Do you have a trunk pin or sensor? Check the wiring on that if you do.

Is it a remote start by chance?

If yes...what may be happening is the hood shutdown is being used for the trunk trigger or the system shares that input. You need to diode isolate the circuits.
