Default Strange problem with the STOCK radio Volume control.

Although I usually don't use the radio, it is nice to have especially when you get some new tunes and want to slap 'em in and crank 'em up for a spin.
Here's the deal, The last time I drove the car was 3 days ago, I get in today and the volume which was set at about a medium level for cruising speeds won't go lower or higher as per the dial.

All the other functions work, Except the Dial. I can select the settings for Bass and Treble and whatnot but, can't adjust them with the damn dial.

You get the idea.

So I go back home and reset everything and Even after I input the the Radio code The thing won't control volume, AND NOW the volume is So low that I can barely hear it at idle, almost like it's at it's lowest possbile setting.

The car has 25,000 miles on it so All of the warrenties apply but, the only dealership I trust is 2 hours away. If I have to I will arrange a loaner car from them while they fix this and a fray on the steering wheel thread.

But, if anyone else has had this problem Which BTW I have NEVER heard of here, I would appreciate a response as well as any Helpful assistance.

Thank you in advance,

A.

PS I know this is Not really R related only But, am also posting this in the audio section.

PPS and this is the Only trouble I've ever had with this R besides the fraying thread on the steering wheel. There that made it On Topic

Default Re: Strange problem with the STOCK radio Volume control. (1GreyTeg)

hmm, ive seen the amp in the radio going bad and then the volume control gets screwed, but if you havn't done anything electrical recently etc. your best bet would be to get it replaced under warrenty, i mean, its going to be free, and its a 1 hour job at max (and i mean like the dealer lost all his tools and had to take an hour using his teeth)

I realize the 2 hour drive is long, but hey, it'll get that fray fixed and you'll never have to worry about that deck screwing up a year from now from our ghetto honda-tech fixes
