no its not bad! thats a dumb question.... all it does is crank your car for you... is it bad when you start your car?
just dont leave it in gear...

its only bad if the installer sets the crank longer than it should be.
IE: sets it for cold start crank which could turn over for 2 seconds. vs. a warm crank of 1 second.
Just make sure its set up properly and you'll have no problems.

They make remote starts for manual trans. cars, [no way to leave it in gear, and be able to use the remote start, and how long it cranks depends on how long it takes your car to start, [crank time useing remote start will be shorter then with key] remote start cranking stops as soon as motor starts, [it sees the RPMs] 94

it bypasses the clutch wire...all you do is ground it... the most important part of it, is to make sure your brake wire is hooked up, that way, if someone depresses your brake, your car will shut off...

All a remote starter does is perform the exact same function that your key does, only without the key. It just uses relays to simulate turning the key. Is starting your car with the key bad in the long run?
