Default reducing shock sensitivity with viper 5900 remote

I recently got complaints from my neighbors because my alarm beeps/goes off when a truck or a car with a muffler drives by. I have read that there is a way to adjust the sensitivity with the pager remote. I've searched through the owner's manual and through google with no luck. Does anyone here know how I can set this? and if setting the sensitivity through the pager remote is impossible, can someone tell me how I can adjust the sensitivity? Thanks

You can't adjust the sensitivity with the remote on 5900s. You have to find the sensor. It is a clear plastic box that is plugged into the brain. There's a dial you can adjust with a small screwdriver. Turn it counter clockwise to turn the sensitivity down.

Google image search "viper shock sensor" and you will see what it looks like.

Thanks for the response. I know that the brain is usually located under the driver side dash, but mine wasn't there. Where are other ideal places that the brain would be put? Perhaps this was a stealth installation that they did?

I doubt it is anywhere else, but there is always that possibility. Do you have an LED or valet switch installed? Follow those wires...
