Re-activate Karr High Performance Series 3 Security System?
I just bought a 2011 Civic 4-dr LX. The dealer tried to sell me the Karr alarm for $900. He said it's installed on all the vehicles so no one tries to break into them in the storage lot. He said it uses the factory remote.
He said if you decide not to get it, they will deactivate the security system. I decided to pass since it was pretty expensive.
After getting home, I found the following brochure with the manual and paperwork.
It had the following instructions.
Is it possible to reactivate it myself since all the hardware is still there?
Do you simply remove the "De-activation module?"

Chit, the crap dealer will go through to get your money...
First, Karr and "high performance" is an oxymoron, Karr is a cheap dealer installed alarm and is not worth anywhere near $900, maybe $100 and the $75 they pay an install shop to install it.
For $900 you can get a top of the line, [brand name] alarm/remote start with a "semi-stealth" install.
Do not remove the plug, it will mean a trip to the dealer.
IMO the best thing you can do with a Karr alarm is to remove it and all it's wiring.
You have to wonder how a dealer could just leave a $900 alarm in a car for a customer who does not want it?????? 94
