question about steering wheel radio control

question about steering wheel radio control
is there anyway to take the steering wheel radio control off another honda say like the s2000 or watever else has it and hook it up in a 00 si? i know the radio needs a control but is there nethin else that is needed?

by a control I assume you mean the plug in the back?
you would have to have the radio and the controller from the same car for it to work flawlessly I would assume.

no i mean the volume buttons and crap that they put on the steering wheel. for some wat of a hands free radio control.

No. You'd need to get the signal through the steering wheel hub and/or cable reel assembly (which normally contains your horn, cruise and airbag traces).
See, there are no "wires" going from switches on the wheel through the steering wheel assembly. There's a cable reel assembly, which has a bunch of round "traces" in it, which are connected to a harness. There are spring loaded contacts in the front part of the wheel that ride along those traces and transfer the current through to whatever device it's controlling...
So, to answer your question, it's pretty impossible. Or, as fcm says, the impossible just takes longer and costs more.
I'm sure it could be done, but it's probably not worth it when you could just aim the remote at the unit...
