Default Prelude SH component install questions

I just got a 97 prelude sh with the acoustic feeback stereo in it and I plan on putting 2 sets of Polk components in place of the stock as well as a newer alpine head unit. Components will not be amped. The questions are:
do the front speakers have their own crossover inline or is that built into the factory head unit? If their is one inline can I just install the speaker and not worry about using the Polk crossover?
Also in the rear, I'll be getting an adapter to place the tweeter and the woofer behind the factory speaker cover. Can I use the amp that is there factory and run the signal into my Polk crossover?
I will just run all new cables from my head unit if j have to but I figure there must be a safe way to run everything with mostly factory wiring. Thanks for any help.

You must use the Polk x-overs.

For the rear, skip the tweeters, [not needed for rear fill].

I would run new speaker wire for at least the rear speakers, just to by-pass all the stock Acoustic feed back chit. 94

I guess I'll just run all new wires to make sure it's all correct and to avoid cutting any of the stick wiring unless anyone else has opinions about the front components and weather or not I need the Polk crossovers. I don't think the crossover for the factory speakers is in the head unit ad it should be cutting at near the same frequencies. Anyone else got a reccomendarion?

The x-over for the stock speakers is just a cap on the pos.(+) terminal of the tweeter, you have to use the Polk x-overs. 94

Oh, well then I guess Im running new wire. Sorry I didn't believe you before, you just didn't give a reason why I needed the Polk crossovers so I was still questioning it

I have the same vehicle. You can easily fit the crossovers in the front doors. There is a black plastic box they fit in nicely with a little modification.
