power door lock actuators and alarm...help please
jus installed my avital 4300 alarm...but wondering how to install the door lock actuators i have for my 92 hb....the actuators themselves are positioned in the door already and wires are in the car. The avital 4300 came with the DEI 451M door lock relay but has 5 wires for it and my actuators are 2 wire actuators...anyone know how to hook these up to work? any help would be greatly appreciated..i've searched but found nothing on wiring these up..thanx in advance

the 5 wires should be a positive lock and a negative unlock for both sides, thats 4 wires.... and the extra one should be a 2nd channel/trunk release...... this is how the unlock/lock works..... when it sends a negative pulse to the actuators it unlocks them.... and when it sends a positive pulse it lock them..... when u disarm is unlocks and when you arm it lock.... the 2nd channel/trunk is a negative wire....
this is how most alarms are

the blue and green is to the actuator, the brown and white is chasis goround, and the purple is 12+ volt. make sure u hook up the blue and green correctly to the actuator if u dont , when u armed ur alarm, instead of lock it unlock in that case just switch the wires around

Did your car come with factory power locks? If so, you can just cut off the three wire connector from the 451M, separate the wires, cut out the red one, and use the blue and green wires for your lock/unlock.
If it did not come with power locks, and you have aftermarket actuators installed, then you will need to use the 451M, and as the previous posts say, use the heavy gauge green and blue wires for your lock/unlock wires, and purple/black goes to 12v. I don't think you'll need the white or brown wires though... You could always not hook them up, test the system, and if it works, cut them off and tape them up. If it doesn't work, then hook them both to ground.

Re: (spunky424)
he is using the actuator which only got two wires the green and the blue unless ur using a diff one. u connect the two small wire to ur alarm correct (the red and green). for the power door lock module it got the purple for 12+ , blue and green to the actuator, and brown and white to chasis ground. i did that for my civic hatch and it works great. good luck.
